Telecommunications Tower Technician level 1 (TTT-1) Apprenticeship Program O*NET-SOC CODE: 49-2021.00 RAPIDS CODE: 2030CB This is a 12 Month paid apprenticeship, starting wage $16/hr. with no experience required with $1/hr. potential raises at 45 days, 90 days, 180 days and 365 days, based on how well the apprentice is developing at each stage, topping out as a TTT-2 potentially earning $20/hr. at the 12th month. Crew leaders start at $25/hr. and up, based on experience, skills, education and leadership ability. Full benefits package including health, dental, eye, supplemental life, short and long term disability, dollar for dollar match up to 3% of weekly earnings/pre-tax retirement, 7 paid holidays & up to 40hrs PTO for first 2 years, 2 weeks PTO years 3-5 and 3 weeks PTO after 5th yr.

The program starts with a 2 week orientation in the classroom and on 2 training towers (60' and 300') learning about OSHA regs, industry standards, working to become a certified competent climber and rescuer. Over the course of the 12 month apprenticeship you will earn your OSHA 30 HR card in Construction 29CFR1926, become certified in 1st Aid/CPR/AED, earn your RF Awareness cert, PIT cert, LOTO cert, confined space cert, aerial lift cert and become proficient at many other safety & industry standards. Your successful completion of our TTT apprenticeship program followed by a couple years experience as a TTT in the field will allow you to explore other employment opportunities in the wireless telecommunication industry at Murphy Tower Service, such as Network Technician, OSP Technician and Service Technician.
